The Sheffield Muzzle Loaders & Gun Club was formed in 1956 and is a branch of the Muzzle Loaders of Great Britain. All members are required to be members of the MLAGB.

Club members are also registered with the National Rifle Association.

Club members are able to shoot conventional breach loading shotgun, black powder muzzle loading shotgun and Flintlock at our club shooting ground at Owler Bar. We also shoot small bore, full bore and muzzle loading rifles on ranges at Sprotborough (South Yorkshire Police Range) and Thorpe Cloud along with the other ranges which are available at Wedgnock and Bisley.

Many of our members collect and shoot antique firearms so if you are an enthusiast you will find plenty to talk about.

Anyone accepted for membership will have to serve a six month probationary period and complete any relevant training.

Club meetings are held at the Malin Bridge, 22a Stannington Road, Sheffield, S6 5FL on the first Tuesday of each month at 7.30 pm.

Alternatively you can introduce yourself at our shooting ground at Owler Bar ( Next to the “The Peacock” pub car park).

Club shooting takes place on the 1st & 3rd Sunday of each month from approx 10.00am.

You are welcome to join us at either venue.
